Sapoi Tea Farms 1914

The 2600 acres of ancestral land that constitute the century-old Sapoi Tea Estate in Assam's Sonitpur District produce high-quality tea and allow guests to learn the process. Visitors are welcome to join the tea factory, where employees gladly describe the process of plantation harvesting, and the end product's production process. We were also taught how to plant and how to grow the plant.

We had a wonderful time in a tea estate in Assam. In North Assam, closer to the Bhutan border, the Kanoi family have opened up their farm to visitors. The tea estate is present since the British period covers an area of 2600 acres and around 750 hectares of land is covered with tea. Five Generations have played an active role in managing the estate under their family crest.

We were given a tour of the tea factory, learning the process of plantation harvesting, and the end product's production process. We also spent a mor mining planting tea plants. The bungalow has 6 bedrooms, all uniquely designed by the owner and the food is cooked fresh and served.

Would highly recommend a visit.

Doha, Qatar - it was only a short half day in Doha but we squeezed in a 4 hour sight seeing tour and hit the highlights. Souq Waqif, the markets; Skyline views; Katara Cultural Village; The Pearl Qatar. Doha is preparing for the Fifa World Cup and also for a Grand Vision 2030, becoming a fully sustainable city. So lots of construction, but overall really liked the mix of the old vs. the new. Worth a visit. Maybe for the World Cup!
