The Assistant Regional Transport Office (ARTO) Bandipora has imposed a fine of ₹5,000 on a vehicle for violating traffic norms and endangering public safety. The driver, along with the vehicle, has been directed to report to the ARTO Office, Bandipora, for further proceedings.

In addition, the department has initiated action for cancellation of the driver’s licence (DL) in accordance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

ARTO Bandipora has urged the general public to strictly adhere to traffic rules to ensure their own safety as well as the safety of other road users.
