- 1839 -
The kind of photography we know today dates back to 1839. At that time, the French Academy of Sciences announced the Daguerreotype process. The process made it possible to create a highly detailed image on a sheet of copper. The sheet was coated with a thin coat of silver, and the process did not require the use of a negative. It became the first method for obtaining a permanent image with a camera.
I have read that it helps to look at other photographers’ photos to improve my photography. I try to do this as often as possible. I recently realized that my favorites were a lot like mine in that they had a particular interest. Seeing how they captured theirs helped me figure out how to capture mine. Now that I’m out looking for the best way to take my picture, all I have to remember is to hit the shutter.
I think my photography has evolved since I was 17. I also sell some of my paintings now. It’s a really great feeling to see someone else like my paintings and want one for themselves.
It is my sincere wish that what I have shared will help you in your photography. Happy shooting!
