ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ಮೊದಲು ಸಾಕಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಬೆಳಕು. ಜಗತ್ತನೆ ಬೇಳಗಿದ್ದ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೊಕ್ಕು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಗಿದೊಡನೆ ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ...

ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲ ಹೊತ್ತಿನ ಮೊದಲು ಸಾಕಾಗುವಷ್ಟು ಬೆಳಕು. ಜಗತ್ತನೆ ಬೇಳಗಿದ್ದ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಹೊಕ್ಕು ತನ್ನ ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಗಿದೊಡನೆ ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಉಡುಗೊರೆಯಾಗಿ ನೀಡಿ, ಭಾನಿಂದಾಚೆ ಜಾರಿದ್ದ.

ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಒಪ್ಪಿ , ತಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ಭಾಗವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಉದಯವಾಗುದನ್ನು ಕಾಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ದೀಪವೊಂದು ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನಂಬಿ ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಬೆಳಕಾಗುವ ಧೈರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು.

ಸುತ್ತಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ನಕ್ಕು, ಸಂಶಯಪಟ್ಟರು. ಆದರೆ ತನ್ನ ಮೇಲಿದ್ದ ನಂಬಿಕೆ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಧೃತಿಗೆಡಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತುಸು ಕಷ್ಟದ ನಂತರ ದೀಪ ಬೆಳಗಿತು. ಪರರ ಸಂಶಯವನ್ನು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿಸಿ,ತನ್ನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಜಗತ್ತಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯಿಸಿತು.

ಸುತ್ತಲಿನ ಕತ್ತಲು ದೀಪದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಶಿಸಿತು. ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರಖರವಾದಂತೆ ಹೆಚೆಚೂ ಕತ್ತಲು ನಶಿಸಿತು. ಹೀಗೆ ತಾನು ಪ್ರಖರವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳಗಿ, ಸೂರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತೊಮ್ಮೆ ತನ್ನ ಹಾಜರಾತಿ ಹಾಕುವ ಸಮಯದವರೆಗೆ ಉರಿದು, ಆರಿದ.

ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ಆವರಿಸಿದ್ದ ಕತ್ತಲನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ದೀಪ ನಂದಿತು. ತಾನು ಆರುವ ಮೊದಲು ಬೆಳಗಿ, ಕತ್ತಲೇ ಕೊನೆಯಂದು ಕೊಂಡವರಿಗೆ ಬೆಳಕಾಗಿತು.

ಸೂರ್ಯ ಉದಯಿಸಿದ. ಕತ್ತಲೊಡನೆ ಹೋರಾಡಿ ಗೆದ್ದ ದೀಪವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿ, ತಾನು ಬೆಳಗ ತೊಡಗಿದ.
