For your viewing pleasure. This a what I believe is a not too common form of crystalline gold, known as leaf gold. I bought it at some random coin show but to much regret later sold it.

it doesn't have any standard writing other than 02u or e2u.

Can anyone help identify the ribbons on my dad's rack? I know he saw some action in Vietnam, but don't know much. I'd love to ask him directly about his experience, but he still occasionally has nightmares and I don't want to chance exacerbating that.

Edit: Thank you to those who have already posted. I was looking more for of a general view of his career, not necessarily any specific action that he saw. And I gained some knowledge in both areas.

Got this in a collection purchased for weight. I'm always happy to find silver coins, but finding .999 is a real treat! I'm not sure if any valets are really happy getting a few grams, but nobody has turned them down yet (probably end up in dryer lint traps TBH.)
