Garba: The Soul of Gujarat, The Spirit of Navratri
Garba is not just a dance—it's a celebration of life, devotion, and unity. Rooted in the vibrant culture of Gujarat, Garba is performed during the nine nights of Navratri to honor Maa Ambe, the divine mother who symbolizes strength, protection, and grace.

With every clap, twirl, and beat of the dhol, Garba brings together youth—both girls and boys—and Gujaratis across the globe in a colorful expression of joy and spirituality. Dressed in traditional attire, dancers form circles around the garbha deep (sacred lamp), symbolizing the eternal light of the soul and the divine feminine energy.

Whether in village courtyards or grand city grounds, Garba unites generations in rhythm and reverence. It’s more than a tradition—it’s an emotion that lives in every Gujarati heart.

1999 में VNM गरबा क्वीन स्पर्धा की शुरुआत हुई ,और पहली गरबा क्वीन बनी थी उलपा देसाई ।

आज से 21 वर्ष पहले सन 1999 में, वडोदरा रेस कोर्स रोड पर आयी हरी भक्ति सोसायटी के गरबा ग्राउंड से VNM गरबा क्वीन स्पर्धा की शुरुआत हुई थी, और पहली गरबा क्वीन बनी थी उलपा देसाई (1999 ) आज भी VNM गरबा क्वीन स्पर्धा की परम्परा जारी है।

VNM गरबा क्वीन जो अब गरबा क्वीन के साथ 2016 से VNM गरबा प्रिंस भी जोड़ दिया गया । इस स्पर्धा में वडोदरा के लगभग सभी गरबा ग्राउंड से गरबा प्लेयर्स को चुना जाता है और नवरात्री के नो दिनों बाद VNM गरबा क्वीन का आयोजन किया जाता है इस स्पर्धा में लगभग 500 जितने सिलेक्टेड गरबा प्लेयर्स होते है जो अलग अलग केटेगरी में उम्र के हिसाब से विभाजित होतें हैं। 500 स्पर्धकों में से 60 गरबा प्लेयर्स विजेताओं को अवार्ड से सम्मानित किया जाता है जिसमें एक क्वीन, एक प्रिंस , 21 प्रथम - द्वितीय - तृतीय , और ४० आश्वासन इनामों का समावेश होता है ।

अब तक की 20 VNM गरबा क्वीन बनी युवतियों के नाम इस प्रकार हैं

1 - उलपा देसाई वर्ष 1999
