The Justice of Karma and the Beauty of Patience

“I have no desire to take revenge on anyone, because bad fruit falls from the tree on its own—there is no need to shake it down.”

— Mohan Rajtharu Dhimal

In human life, we often face injustice, insult, or pain. In such moments, the feeling of revenge may naturally arise in many hearts. However, true maturity is shown when a person remains calm and trusts in time and the justice of one’s actions.

If we observe nature, any fruit on a tree falls on its own when it ripens. There is no need to force it down. In the same way, the results of good or bad deeds eventually reveal themselves. This reflects the law of karma, which teaches that everyone experiences the consequences of their own actions.

Revenge offers only temporary satisfaction, but it also brings negativity and unrest into the mind. On the other hand, patience, forgiveness, and positive thinking provide inner peace. When we focus not on revenge but on self-improvement, growth, and doing good, we become truly strong and wise.

This statement teaches us that injustice should not be answered with more injustice, but with tolerance and faith. Time is the greatest judge, and it never allows wrongdoing to prevail forever.

Ultimately, true victory in life lies not in taking revenge, but in rising above it. So let the bad fruit fall on its own—while we strive to remain like a tree that is always green and fruitful.

" Poem "
Author – Mohan Rajtharu Dhimal

Title – The Year 2082

This year—
a strange, wondrous year,
pasted upon the pages of time
with countless questions—
“Who knows what? Who knows why?”
The heart kept asking itself,
while answers drifted like clouds.
Standing at the edge of history,

I looked into my own life—
those days scorched by the sun,
those nights soaked in rain,
letters of struggle
stirring deep within my eyes.
In the heart of the village,
a dream began to beat—
the “One Brick Campaign.”
It was not just construction,
but a foundation of trust,
a touch of togetherness,
a light of collective spirit.

That building,
woven with the breath of the elderly—
became our love, our duty,
a reflection of our identity.
With a year’s worth of sweat,
we reached eighty percent height,
yet the dream still hangs in the sky.

Then came the storm of time—
Bhadra 23 and 24,
the waves of the Gen Z movement
slightly bent our path,
our slowed for a while,
but our faith never trembled.

And Falgun brought another tale—
the loud colors of elections,
people lost in the crowds,
the atmosphere shifting its rhythm,
the voice of our campaign
fading for a moment.

Yet—
we did not tire,
we did not stop.
Carrying both joy and pain,
gathering dust from every doorstep,
leaving aside personal desires,
we chose to struggle with time.

The vow to complete it within a year—
still remains unfinished,
yet even in incompleteness,
the flame of hope has not gone out.
Holding the hands of our dear ones,
we continue telling the story—
of unity,
of cooperation,
of building a brighter tomorrow.

This year—
a truly strange year,
a school of struggle,
a test of faith.
And in the end—
it has taught us this:
no matter how harsh time becomes,
if the heart stays strong,
even unfinished dreams
will one day become a complete song.

My Life Journey Shaped by Struggle, Discipline, and Dedication

I was born in a small village called Sano Arnakhadi, located in the former Mechi Zone of Jhapa district, under Damak Municipality Ward No. 15 (currently Ward No. 9). Our village, with only about 65–70 households, was simple, peaceful, and deeply rooted in a hardworking lifestyle. I began my educational journey at the age of five by enrolling in Grade 1 at Shree Panini Lower Secondary School. My respected teacher, Chhatra Bhakta Hada, played a vital role in building the foundation of my education. With dedication and perseverance, I successfully passed the SLC examination in 2054 B.S.

My childhood was filled with discipline and hard work. Early in the morning, I used to take our 15–20 goats to graze for 2–3 hours at Dakini Jhora. From around 4/5 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., we worked in the fields ploughing and farming. After bathing and eating, I went to school at 9:30 a.m. Upon returning at 4 p.m., I had to collect grass and firewood. After my elder sisters got married in 2047 B.S., I also had to take responsibility for cooking at home. My father never allowed us to sit idle. Since I had very little time to study during the day, I used to wake up at 2:30 a.m. to study, despite being tired from daily labor. My father, being a hardworking farmer, raised cattle, pigs, goats, and poultry, and his dedication inspired me deeply.

We are five brothers and three sisters, and I am the middle son. Despite limited resources, only my younger sister and I were able to complete a Master’s degree, which remains a rare achievement in our village even up to 2082 B.S. Academically, I passed my I.A. in 2056/57 B.S., completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2062/63 B.S., and finally earned my Master’s degree in 2014/15 A.D.

I entered the teaching profession in 2057 B.S. and continued teaching until 2078 B.S. During this period, I taught various subjects including Social Studies, Science, Computer, Mathematics, and English. I always handed over my salary to my mother, who managed the household expenses wisely.

In 2056/57 B.S., after meeting Ram Prasad Dhimal from Madhumalla, I was inspired to engage in social work. From 2057 B.S. Poush 8, I formally began my journey as a social activist through the Dhimal Students Forum, where I served as the founding secretary.

I also contributed to the publication of the “Soloi” magazine and collaborated with several individuals to uplift and connect the Dhimal community. Up to 2082 B.S., I have remained actively involved in the Dhimal National Development Center at the central level. Recently, I have also contributed to the “One Brick Campaign” for the construction of a Senior Citizens’ Building at the Dhimal project site in Urlabari, Morang.

In my personal life, I got married to Pavimaya on Magh 24, 2066 B.S. We are blessed with two daughters: Varosha Dhimal, born on Mangsir 2, 2069 B.S., and Zonzota Dhimal, born on Jestha 27, 2072 B.S.

Thus, my life journey continues to move forward, shaped by struggle, discipline, and a deep commitment to society.
