Around the Snaefellsnes Peninsula 🐴

Krypton (aka Kirkjufell) 💚

Iceland is incredible no matter the season. Our winter roadtrip started west on the Snaefellsness peninsula, home of the famous Kirkjufell mountain 🏔️ the weather forecast wasn’t looking promising, but on the second day we were rewarded with a clear sunrise and a green-lit display despite cloud coverage. That aurora must have been wild to light up the sky like that!

Onwards and upwards into 2026 🥾

2025 has been a year of peaks and valleys, and a tough one overall. We lost my mom unexpectedly in August in her early 60s. Work has been more challenging and draining. Passion and energy has been a struggle to maintain, and adventures have been infrequent.

But despite all of that, there has been plenty to be thankful for. Two international bucket list trips 🌏 Snowdona ❄️ Big house renovations 🏠 Picking back up the guitar 🎸 Quality time with family and friends, especially over the holidays 🌲 And of course, our lil Scootie Bear 🐶

Cheers to a new year and a fresh start 🍻 Hope you all have a safe and happy NYE!

Fall vibes at Lago di Braies 🍂 🛶

Though this place can be a (people) zoo, opting for a balcony room at the lodge and a paddle at opening the next morning made for a pleasant, relaxing time… outside of the 10+ illegal drones buzzing overhead during an otherwise calm sunrise 🙃

Transitioning into the Cortina area, our next stop was an 90 minute pre-sunrise drive to Passo Giau (with delicious pistachio cornettos of course), where we were greeted by lit peaks over frosty plains 🌄

There’s a lot to share from our trip so far, but figured I’d start here - moody fall vibes of today. For the past week we’ve had great weather and consistent sun, so it was only a matter of time until we rolled into the fog 🌫️

It’s felt so good to be out adventuring again 😌
