She got me really shaking of emotions when i finally found her

I could hear her from the distance and her call went higer as closer i got to her. And there she was 😭 a differend one and more special then i thougt i would see

Beeing out there

Do all of you connect to the feeling of beeing free out there ?

Exploring when you get the feeling that its just you and the nature ?

I have experienced many times feeling how overwelming it is to stand against the mother nature, you feel so small aginst the endless freedom and beauty

At the end in so many dayly things we do, we do it to just be out there.

I just had a talk with my son and hes playing golf, i said to him, one day you will understand why you also do it, a big part of it is to be out there, he reaponded i already know and i know the feeling 🥹

Theres a 3 swipe pano at the end and maybe one day this photo will be stores at my printsite. I really love this one and its my by far most favorite one this year

A crater

Ive been visiting him every summer since 2015 but first visited the site as a young boy

That was before drones, so until that time not many had seen him this way that you can using a drone. As we that take photos know that you can visit the same site day by day and it never looks the same and is constantly changing with seasons and lights

I always get chilled when the lake comes into the frame flying up

Swipe for the pano at the end 🌋 and if you wöhsve a drone and want to see it check my profile for trips or visit my site ingibthor.com

Grindavík July 16th 2026

We are in the phase of making Grindavík a safe place and to do that we need to close the crack (Stamphólsgjá" that splits the town in half

The area west of the crack sunk down from half a meter up to one and a half meter wich caused the roof of this 2.500year old crack to break and thats why we see the crack open

We have a new major in town and new town council wich is full spirit on open the way back home for those who can and want

Close to 50 children have signed up to attend the school next season

Both basketball teams are i think close to be set up

Soccer is beeing played on our soccerfield

Gym and swimmingpool is open

The campingsite has been open all summer and still is

Our famouse bakery is open and aswell the art store next to it

Few restaurants are open to serve food

Fishing industry is blooming and have been going on since day one

900 people have theyr home adress signed as Grindavík

If you visit Iceland please come and visit Grindavík, take a look and leave something back for us, its a big part of the phase to get us back home

Hrafnagjá

South of Vogar on the Vatnsleysuströnd coastline lies one of Iceland’s most active fissure zones. The area contains numerous rift valleys, faults, and open fissures that are part of the Reykjanes volcanic system. You can see them looking towrds fagradalsfjall when you drive the highway to Reykjavík

Hrafnagjá – Is one of the best known rift fissures in the area. It extends southwest from Vogar and reaches widths of several tens of meters and depths of up to several tens of meters in places. It formed as the Earth’s crust was pulled apart

Huldugjà is there aswell going same direction

The fissures/cracks are the surface expression of the boundary between the North American Plate and the Eurasian Plate

They belong to the same type of tectonic fissure system responsible for the recent volcanic activity on the Reykjanes Peninsula since 2021, although the fissures near Vogar have not erupted during the current eruption cycle

If found it kinda crazy that not many people know about them but the light sametimes draws them towards you or when its snows like it was when i took these last year

If you are still reading, the difference between these and the one that splits Grindavík apart is that these can be seen from the surface when Stamphólsgjáin at home was hidden under old lavafield

Swipe for the panos 🙏🏻
