Another shortlisted image for World Food Photo Awards 2026
Some time ago I had the joy to make this book on the culinary uses and how to forage for seaweed around the Icelandic coast.
I have liked this first image about the contrast on the people harvesting at low tide in the sometimes harsh weather and nature of Iceland.
I am so proud to be again shortlisted for the for 2026.

Breadcake, strange idea but in the Nordic countries this is a food cultural institution that has no travelled outside of the Nordics but here it is so important.
Bread and shrimp, ham, salmon and other savoury toppings and a lot of mayonnaise.
It belongs on every table during things as diverse as funerals, weddings and board meetings.
A book we had to do some time ago and even then on the book release you got a jar of Hellmans mayonnaise with the book.

It’s the most crazy thing you can do in cooking, competing in Bocuse D’Or and the work and the focus they put in is on another level. Snædís Xyza Mae Ocampo and her team has worked so hard and in a few days it will all show in the competition.
I was asked to take the food items and the large tray but of course I cant show them since all is hush hush until the date so all you get to see it the beautiful dish from Ker Rvk and some quick snaps I took of Snædis whilst working.

Setting up a small station to photograph old films. And finding some negs from mid nineties from the Lollipop festival in Stockholm “96 from a press junket of Underworld. No editing just cross processed ectachrome and all the dust in the bottom of the box. I think I need to find some dust cleaning equipment before I post more images.
