Photographs I hope you'll like! Mostly of Scotland & The Algarve, but not exclusively. All images are for sale, please just ask if you would like a price

I take so many photographs that they are getting lost in random places on my computer, in Facebook albums, on the camera card...and so on. After much nagging by those who like them I am going to try to keep them all in one place and properly categorised. All of the images are for sale should anyone want a copy. I still have to work on prices and formats but if you are interested please just ask. I

am a journalist by profession and of course words and images go hand in hand. As a result I'll be trying hard to write a description of each photograph - even if no more than where it was shot and when. On that note if anyone needs any word editing done I am available for commissions. Perhaps you are submitting photographs for competitions and want someone to 'tweak' your description or maybe you are putting together a leaflet of your photography work and words aren't quite your thing. Again just ask and I'll give you a price. Thanks for visiting and feedback is very welcome.

Have been neglecting this page so must remember to add some photos more often.
This one of the Reef Beach on the Isle of Lewis certainly went down well on the 'Scotland From The Roadside' FB page, so have to put that on here.
The colour of the water has to be seen to be believed and the beaches in the Outer Hebrides - on a sunny day - rival anything in the world.

Something fishy about this one!
Started off as a rather bland pic of a John Dory that we had given to us fresh off a boat.
A little bit of work and it has turned into what looks more like a plate from an old book on fishing?
We reckon this would make a great placemat...for the fish course only of course..

Just beautiful. This stunning Mandarin Duck is, believe it or not, living wild in Central Scotland. Very few exist in Scotland, most being found in the south of England. From China originally, the wild Mandarins are descendants of birds who escaped captivity.
