Ah, what a lovely weekend for a Mountain Skills 2! Ten hours of hiking bliss into the night on Day 1 and seven hours of steep ground work & navigation through complex terrain on Day 2. A strong, capable and no-drama group plus a good catch up with my buddy Mario as well.

A few from a midweek Mountain Skills 1. Sunnier weather on Wednesday but Thursday's forecast was for rain and possible thunderstorms. Thankfully the latter didn't materialise but had to be a little creative to avoid most of the rain on Thursday. Happy to have got another very keen bunch through the course. We had a good few laughs along the way too.

Another image from that glorious morning out in Dun Laoghaire, Dublin, Ireland - this one a portrait format with the Roger Casement statue the main focal point. This image was taken 12 minutes after my previous one (posted 2 days ago) as the sun was just about to rise off to the right, painting the sky a beautiful orange and yellow from the side. Again reduced the saturation in the sky by 20% in Lightroom. Several versions of this image are available as Open or Limited Edition prints or frames - details in comments.

A glorious Dun Laoghaire sunrise paints the Dublin sky with shades of pink and orange. The colours were so intense, I even reduced the saturation in the sky by 20%. The statue of Roger Casement stands by the rocky shore, adding depth to the scene. This print is now available as an Open or Limited Edition and added to my South Dublin Gallery on Fabulous Viewpoints and Fine Art America.

Thank you to a customer from Co Meath who got a 24 inch print of Lough Inagh and the Bens in Connemara. Still remember rushing to this location after photographing the sunrise at Derryclare Lough. Soon after this shot was taken the reflections dissapeared on the lake.

Moonrise over the Acropolis of Athens back in March. Pity about the extensive scaffolding but it was a joy to see and shoot nevertheless. Guess I'll just have to return one day.

Ran a one-to-one photography workshop this week with a client who travelled all the way from Mexico. After a Zoom session to discuss filters in landscape photography we looked to put things into practice on-location. The first thing that welcomed us were rainbows out to sea! Later, there was good wave action and a bit of pinks in the sky toward sunset to enjoy. Good to see some long exposures taken with proper use of a circular polariser, ND, ND grad filters and camera settings.

Haven't done a local sunrise for awhile so glad to be out again today to take some extra shots for my upcoming fotoVUE book. Was treated to these lovely colours by the Roger Casement statue at Dun Laoghaire. Surprised no other photographers were there as it was really stunning! Photos to follow.
