Terminato il primo circuito, la corsa si dirige verso il primo passaggio sul Fornello. 5'35" per i fuggitivi dopo 85 chilometri. Dalla testa della corsa hanno perso contatto Biondani, Gamba, Tessari e Rossetti.
After 85 kilometres of racing, the breakaway has a 5'35" advantage over the peloton as the race heads towards the first ascent of Fornello. Biondani, Gamba, Tessari and Rossetti are no longer part of the head of the race
