On Sunday, October 11, from 6 pm, Villa Rondinelli presents "Ces cerises", an exhibition by Francesco Carone () curated by Erica Romano (.romano), as part of the Arte e Botanica programme coordinated by artistic director Marco Mazzi (Marco Mazzi).
The exhibition revisits works from "Bo***ir", Carone’s 2016 solo exhibition at SpazioA in Pistoia. Exactly ten years later, "Ces cerises" takes up a thread left open, continuing a process that remained unfinished in its unfolding.
At the heart of Carone’s work is eroticism, understood as a vital force that activates systems of duality and intimate relations between physical and imaginary worlds. The gardens and architecture of Villa Rondinelli become the setting for a continuous play of references and reflections, inviting the gaze to expand or narrow in an act of perception that reaches beneath the surface.
The exhibition is accompanied by a self-published publication featuring images from "Bo***ir" (2016), the artist’s original text, an insight on the development of "Ces cerises" (2026) and dedicated texts by the curator.
