…tanto che la gente si alza dalle sedie e dai divani, scende e corre a vedere. Si fermano gli orologi, ne scrivono tutti i giornali anche se hanno finito le pagine o forse anche le parole, si bloccano le campane, un rosario spezzato a metà, il libro preferito che rimarrà mai finito, un pianto soffocato all’improvviso, la luna che trova il coraggio di voltarsi per poi cadere. Uno stadio muto per novanta minuti. Stormi di uccelli silenziosi che cadono come stelle. Si staccano le ombre da sotto lampioni. Vola la sera senza ali né voglia, senza piume né vele. Se ne va senza chiedere permesso né dare spiegazioni. Tutto finito? Yes, signor tenente. Perché? No, sbagliato. Non c’è un perché, signor giudice. Chiodi piantati nel cielo. Appesi per la coda, sospesi come lenzuola sulle onde. Che poi finisce che esplodono le montagne e scoppiano gli arcobaleni.

the season started before the world was fully awake... an incredible sunrise in Riomaggiore, the sound of the waves, the moon still high in the sky & ≈ not far from it ≈ the sun just beginning to rise above the horizon. a cold morning wind, the sea moving below us & a wonderful couple standing in the middle of it all... can we talk about this Juliet cap veil?!! truly one of the most beautiful choices I’ve seen lately.
I do really hope it becomes a recurring detail this year bc it brings a kind of poetry around the bride, something timeless without feeling old… delicate. different textures, flowers... a small detail, but with a very particular aura.

a museum preserves things exactly as they once were: untouched, organized, frozen in time... && sometimes I wonder how many people spend their whole lives trying to become one. holding onto old versions of themselves simply because they’re recognizable. repeating identities, habits, patterns, even memories, just to avoid the uncertainty that comes with change. BUT, becoming is different... becoming is scary sometimes, unfinished, a little messy. more like a gallery than a museum. some pieces make sense immediately, others take time. some belong to completely different seasons of life & some become meaningful only because of what they survived.
lately I’ve realized I don’t want to spend life preserving old versions of myself just because they once made sense. I want to evolve, outgrow things, change my mind, destroy parts of myself that no longer feel true & discover new versions of who I am without feeling guilty for leaving older ones behind.

…maybe growth was never meant to look perfect.
…maybe it was always meant to look alive.

so no, I don’t want to become a museum of the past.
I’d rather become a gallery of becoming 🤍

Imho, the most beautiful weddings have never been the perfect ones, but the ones you can actually feel… the ones that stay under your skin because they were lived fully, not performed, && this one had both... Incredible details, a stunning atmosphere, everything carefully thought thru… BUT what made it truly special was something else entirely. They chose to have an unplugged wedding: phones collected in a basket from before the ceremony until the cake cutting.
No distractions, no screens, just presence. Oh gosh, I loved that… & you could feel it... In the way ppl looked at each other, in the way moments unfolded without interruption, in how everything felt more real, more grounded. It wasn’t just seen, it was experienced.
That kind of energy can’t be designed, you either have it or you don’t. And here, it was everywhere.
