It’s Bruno Bucciarati Day! Happy Birthday to ma boi! 🥳✨

Many of you don’t know but in the very beginning of my photography journey I used to shoot cosplay photography. A LOT of cosplay photography. In fact, that’s how I built a small audience, practiced directing people, creating concepts for shootings and so on. Even today a lot of my friends are still in the field, it was a really fun part of my career ♥️

I’m really grateful of having had the chance to work with Daniele and Celine with this set! These photos are a bit different from the usual but I hope you’ll like them 🙌

Shot for , an American brand with Italian origins. I love the fact that they still keep production in Italy ♥️

We shot in the center of Florence at the only time possibile: at 6 in the morning 🫡 Super tiring but the view and mood is surreal: no one is sight and the monuments in full displays, you can truly breath the magic of Florence ✨

Recently I've tried to improve my art by embracing "the imperfection".

Usually for portraits the softer the light, the better it is: it's more flattering and retouching is easier too, but I want to shoot portraits that feel spontaneous and authentic, a true display of deep emotions. I rediscovered hard light as a tool to sculpt and frame that vision.

I shoot with really often. So much that it's a problem when I periodically curate my portfolio: if I just picked great photos it would be mostly her 😂 But I've come to accept and embrace it: she's like a muse for me, a partner in crime. We can scheme, try new stuff all the time and I think that that complicity helped a lot in creating something more authentic, more transparent, something that I can look at and feel like a portrait of who Shanti is, and not just how she looks.

What do you think, was I successful?

It's been two months already since we got married, and to say that time flew is an understatement. Day to day things are the same as before, the only real difference is that we call each other "wife" and "husband" ♥️

The day off, I was really nervous until the ceremony. But I knew I had the best vendors and the best witnesses, so I could fully enjoy the moment and not worry… too much 😂

I'm really grateful for all the friends that came to celebrate with us and looking back at the photos makes me appreciate even more all the small moments. We definitely haven't had enough time with everyone! 🙌

Me and are getting married this March! ♥️ We’ve been together for more than 12 years now and really don’t have enough photos together (the irony), so when we had the chance to shoot with in our beloved Florence we couldn’t pass up the opportunity!

Elsie is a fantastic human being, we’re the most awkward couple in public but she was able to put us at ease and shoot these amazing and natural photo… feeling so blessed 🥹

You know when you have very specific vision in mind and you keep going back to it, thinking, refining and planning until you can execute it? I had this aesthetic in mind and I spent SO LONG looking for the right model. And, my god, if I found her!
lily is a cosplay model first and foremost, but her posing and body control is so good, I was moved 🥹 You might not notice consciously looking at photos, but it really shows when models know how to move hands. It's definitely not something to be taken for granted with models, even professional ones 😂 And of couse we were blessed by 's styling! ✨

I think I managed to get a good variety in these 10 photos, but let me know what you think. Which one is your favorite?

Since I was a child I loved September because it meant a new beginning at school, winter clothes and CHRISTMAS APPROACHING. But in the last few years I started getting mixed feelings: I now miss the warmth, having a great time with friends and the feeling of joy of an ice cream. Guess it influenced the editing of this shooting too, does it also give you a feeling of melancholy?

The exact moment we stepped out of the car when we got to the location it started to rain… no, TO POUR! 😂

We got super wet and had to wait for the rain to stop, but we scouted the location beforehand and the whole team was amazing, so we managed to do everything we planned and more! 💪

(I'm also trying a new fashionable layout for this carousel… my OCD is suffering but you tell me: yes or nay?) ✨
