Il gufo dagli occhiali (Pulsatrix perspicillata Latham, 1790) è un grande rapace tropicale appartenente alla famiglia  degli Strigidi. È il più grande rappresentante dei gufi nell'ecozona neotropicale ed è chiamato così perché il disegno facciale di colore bianco assomiglia ad un paio di occhiali

Prairie dogs (Cynomys Rafinesque, 1817) are a genus of mammals belonging to the order of Rodents and the Sciuridae family, common in American prairies.

Despite the name, therefore, they are not canids, but rodents, of the same family of marmots. They owe their name to a sound, similar to a barking, which they emit in case of danger. Unlike marmots, they don't hibernate.
