Maybe Love is a kind of translation.
Rome is a city written in layers.

Stone over stone. Names over names. Languages, people, routes, empires, tourists, memories.

For this couple session, it didn’t feel like Rome was simply a backdrop.
It felt more like a meeting point.

An American couple, roots stretching far beyond one country, photographed inside a city that has always been made by arrivals, crossings, translations.

Maybe that’s what made it feel so right.
Two people carrying different worlds, standing for a moment inside a place that has been collecting worlds for centuries.

Not a postcard. More like a page.
And for a few quiet minutes, they became part of it.

A couple session in Rome, between ancient stones, crossed paths and love as its own language.

We spend most of our lives documenting other people’s memories.

Somewhere between weddings, airports, deadlines, and thousands of photographs, we try not to forget our own.

So every now and then, we disappear for a day.

A train ride.
A few rolls of film.
A cloudy sky over Pisa.
A Tiramisu!

Another year together.

These quiet little moments rarely make the headlines.
But somehow, they always become our favorite memories.
