This new reel captures a moment of pure focus with Sara on a perfectly clear night. For this session, she wore a beautiful black outfit that allowed her to merge seamlessly with the darkness, turning her silhouette into a void that I could then sculpt with light.
The conditions were ideal. With a clear sky above and the sea providing perfect reflections, we were able to create a symmetrical world of light.
One of the biggest challenges in long exposure is keeping every detail sharp, especially when a subject has long hair that can easily catch the slightest breeze. Sara’s discipline was incredible; she held her pose with total precision, ensuring that both her figure and the intricate light trails remained razor-sharp against the moving water.
This session is a testament to the patience required for the Sublument project in 2026. It’s about that brief window where the elements: the sky, the water, and the muse, all align in total silence.
