His work got selected "Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize 2016", which was on show the National Portrait Gallery and toured across the UK in 2017. He moved to London in 2009 (officially) to complete his studies in journalism, (unofficially) because he thought the big smoke could have been the right place for him to "become himself". Over the last seven years he got an MA International Journalism—specif
ically in the broadcast field, funded a supperclub, worked (briefly) in TV and (extensively) at Borough Market, travelled to the Middle East, got his heart broken, thought of going back home, turned 30, picked up the camera again and got his work exhibited at the National Portrait Gallery's TAYLOR WESSING PHOTOGRAPHIC PORTRAIT PRIZE 2016. His artist statement reads:
"I want to show what's inside someone else's skin. Taking photographs is like making a small cut on someone's skin, let just a few drops of their blood drip onto the palm of your hand for the rest of the world to see". One day someone told him "You are good, the future can be bright. You just need to learn how to play poker". Today he is probably here because poker is not really his thing. He doesn't know where he is going but he is definitely not going home.
