I was in an old space.

A place where lives have been lived for centuries
where dreams and nightmares were inevitable.

Sometimes I believe in ghosts.
The ghosts are there.
The residuals of infinite creativity left by previous artists. Their minds leaving pieces to build on for those that follow.

It sparked something in me, “a gift”, as Robin said.
A permission to face the nightmares I can’t explain.

There are the obvious ones,
the people in the night, the ones who knock.

And then there are the others.
The quieter dreams.
The ones born from my waking life
fears and insecurities without names.

This is a part of a diptych that I will soon share.

Thank you forever to for the space to grow and breath. To be safe.
Thank you so so much to the beautiful soul modeling in my image. You captured the beauty in classic poses, you’re incredible and grace. Thank you for your patience.

There is a shift in this editing.

The lighter, ethereal image was edited immediately after the session.
The darker version came months later—after time away from consistent creative expression, and after sitting with the current state of the world.

This feels like a quiet reminder of why community and fellowship among artists matter.

Judah is an incredible photographer I’ve followed for years. We’ve talked work, process, and technique over time, and we finally met when he gave me complete freedom during his own session. A rare kind of trust—and a dream.

Most of the time, I’m not entirely sure why I choose the scenes I create. This one felt more obvious.
He—like myself and so many photographers—wanted to be present without being the focus. I think we admire the world so deeply that we forget to see ourselves as something to be admired, too.

I wanted to take a “typical creative session” and set it on fire.

This is barely Photoshop. This is almost exactly how it looked that day. I moved trees, built a circle of wood around him, and set it on fire. The flames are real. The fog is real. Only minimal double exposure and color grading.

What matters most is the statement.

Surviving in a ring of fire.

Sometimes a beautiful image doesn’t reveal its depth unless it’s pointed out—and that’s okay. But none of my work is happenstance. Every frame has intention, meaning, and purpose.

Here he sits—powerful, grounded, calmly fighting.

Working with another male photographer or model is rare for me, and intentional. So when men make that space safe, open, and collaborative, it matters deeply.

Thank you, Judah—for your trust, your friendship, and your presence.

Visiting The Bracero Story exhibit by Eric Magaña with was a deeply moving experience.
From the golden fields of California to the factory walls that still hold echoes of labor and resilience, every photograph and artifact tells the story of those who worked de sol a sol — from sunup to sundown.

Inside the exhibit, framed portraits of fathers, grandfathers, and brothers remind us that history lives through memory. These were men who crossed borders with calloused hands and unwavering hope, shaping the land that feeds us all.

Thank you Eric for preserving and sharing the story of our ancestors. Their sacrifices and modesty of that needs to be shared and you are the perfect person for this.

The heart of an artist, the spirit of a teacher.
She doesn’t just create art — she nurtures it in others. With patience, curiosity, and a spark of imagination, she reminds her students that creativity lives in the everyday.

An inspiring woman who shows us that art isn’t only found in galleries or studios, but in the way we see the world. 🌎

I went to a wedding.

Not as a photographer, but as a guest.

I was warming welcomed by all, like friends I hadn’t seen in lifetimes.

The stunning beauty of each one is what made me feel out of place. Their hearts matched their appearance.

P.S you’ll never guess what this woman does for a living. Hint, not a model

The Curves of the Mother

The curves of the mother—nature,
ever changing, life changing, giving.

Our love infinite,
growing, stretching,
nurturing.

Mother Earth, the constant.
The winds whisper wisdom,
the clouds break open—
raining, drowning, cleansing.

Love,
the light, the blessing, and breath.

I found Italy sunsets to be blinding, secretive and warm. It felt at times, that I was able to shoot in any light and see the personality in the shadows. They weren’t dark just for the sake of hiding, or too bright blowing out the highlights. They both felt as if I could find a story and inspiration in each. To say I’m obsessed with it all is an insulting understatement-I was simply in awe of.

Photographers now what I mean 😘

In the glow of summer light, she sits among Queen Anne’s lace and lavender — flowers once woven into folklore for their protection, healing, and quiet strength. Here, motherhood becomes more than a moment; it becomes a living painting. There’s a serenity that recalls Renaissance Madonnas resting in meadows, yet also the playful softness of Rococo gardens where every detail was a brushstroke of tenderness. This portrait is not only of her, but of the season she carries — a season of waiting, of blooming, of embodying both fragility and resilience all at once.

I always appreciate when I’m given the chance to photograph life as a painting that I see in my mind. The perfection that you are in that moment. Desperately hoping you can see yourself as the living art that your loved ones see. this one just popped with the flowers around you. Delicate in the background with you up against the sun, draped in light but bringing your own.
