Hello everybody how are you doing?

Today my friends I would like to share a truly special moment with you!
Also this year I was selected as one of the best milkyway photographers of the year 2024, a truly great joy and emotion for me, another step in my photographic journey gives me more and more confidence in being able to say that I have chosen the path right! so thank you for this incredible opportunity!

Today, however, it seems necessary to me, rather than talking about me and my shot, to underline the incredible level of this year’s selection! every year it is more and more difficult to join due to the incredible level of expertise required and which continues to rise!
This thing is truly incredible and beautiful because it shows that little by little, brick by brick we are managing to create an increasingly aware and increasingly high-level astrophotographic community! this is the thing that fills me with the most joy!!
SO CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE ARTISTS IN THIS YEAR’S SELECTION WHO CONTINUE TO AIM EVER HIGHER, AND WHO ALWAYS MANAGE TO BE INSPIRING!

My friends who follow me, please let yourself be inspired by them!

LIONS COVE

Hey friends, here me back with another photograph from the Atacama desert?🌌
Let me know what you think about it 😊

This image was taken during a really adventurous night haha. We were on the plateau of the Atacama desert, in a potentially dangerous area as it is a mountain lion reserve.
After spending the whole afternoon looking for compositions, which, by the way, turned out to be one better than the other, I finally managed to find this particular mass of rocks adorned with this very particular formation of tufts of grass now burnt by the dryness of such a hostile environment.
The area around these huge rocks was surrounded by bones of small animals as well as footprints of a certain size, which certainly did not belong to some peaceful sheep that got lost around there.........

I can't deny that spending the night there was a bit scary, however being able to photograph such beauty was absolutely worth it: being able to enjoy the beauty of the Milky Way in all its wonder overlooking that pristine landscape.

Hi guys, with great joy today I would like to show you this image!
The scene represents an alpinist bivouacking under a rock in the sight of the majestic granite walls of Mount FitzRoy.
The trip to South America was truly an adventure and the week spent in Argentinian Patagonia was the icing on the cake; certainly, an experience that paid off for all the efforts made.
In addition to a photographic approach, my colleague and I wanted at all costs to have the most alpinistic approach possible to this experience! This was also possible thanks to the exceptional guidance of , .mountain.guides , who led us to the most spectacular peaks overlooking Fitz Roy.
This shot was taken from one of these peaks, the Loma de las Pizarras!
The ascent to Loma de las Pizarras was just after the climb to Cerro Madsen. Departure late at night, after very few hours of sleep, to reach the summit with still a few hours in the dark to allow us to photograph the Milky Way and the first lights of the day.
…well, what can I say, it was a long rush, at times quite technical….
After passing the tree line and leaving the woods, the terrain became particularly rocky and characterized by sheets of rock that were as crumbly as they were sharp. However, an hour before dawn we reached the top.
After a quick breakfast it was finally time to shoot!
And here is the first image taken from this incredible place: the beautiful Milky Way lying down close to the majestic Mt FitzRoy, only a mountaineer resting in his sleeping bag, waiting for the warmth of the first light of dawn.

TEARDROPS

Here we are finally it's my turn with these hahah

On the night of August 12th as you know (as I explained in the stories previously made) there was the peak of activity of the Perseid meteor shower and since after quite some time I finally had a free weekend, I said to myself, well what the heck..... I'm going to break my legs on some nice path in my beautiful mountains - so nostalgic 🥲- and why not, to take some pictures of the "shooting stars".

Well I won't bore you that everything was planned to perfection….blaaa blaaaa blaa…..
It is enough to know that the place was the right one at the right time, that there was a lot of effort, the storm (strong) as well and also a magnificent starry sky.
Incredible location!
A small scarlet red bivouac set between majestic granite walls in front of the imposing Pizzo Torrone and Punta Ferrario.

Long and leg-breaking climb up Val Torrone, straight up to the bivouac where I spent the night, frugal dinner, a short and intense storm, then the magnificent vault of heaven 🌌

In the image I show you today, a northward view of the bivouac and the regal granite peaks that frame the milky way. In particular from the sector of the constellation of Perseus the unraveling of the meteoric rain captured with a total of about 400 shots. In the bivouac just me and two climbers preparing the ropes before the difficult climb to Torrone.

HOME SOUTHWEST

Friends, what can I say..... this is perhaps the most beautiful memory I carry in my heart from my trip to the Atacama Desert......

A perfect night, the desert, three tents and my gaze lost in an infinite sky..... moments that lasted an eternity and still vividly bring me back to that adventure😍

That night my friends, after having frantically photographed the multitude of nocturnal views that that valley could offer, I went back to my tent to lie down. When, just before moonrise, I saw our tents, our shelter, our home, under that huge boulder with the Large Magellanic Cloud above it in that perfect sky🤩.........could I ever not photograph that beautiful picture?

ragazzi, cosa posso dire..... questo è forse il ricordo piu bello che mi porto nel cuore dal mio viaggio nel Deserto di Atacama......

una notte perfetta, il deserto, tre tende ed il mio sguardo perso in un cielo infinito..... istanti che sono durati un eternità e che ancora vividi mi riportano a quella avventura😍

quella notte amici miei, dopo aver freneticamente fotografato la moltitudine di scorci notturni che quella valle poteva offrire, stavo tornado alla tenda per coricarmi. Quando, appena prima del sorgere della luna, vidi le nostre tende, il nostro rifugio, la nostra casa, sotto quell enorme masso sovrastato dalla Grande Nube di Magellano in quel cielo perfetto🤩.........potevo, secondo voi non fotografare quel quadretto magnifico?

Hei folks, today I’d like to share with you a special image from the past summer!
This represents the apex of an incredible hike through the wild alps across the border of Italy and France shared with the best buddies possible, .berri , and .rti (go and check their pics, for further crazy content 🤯🤩).
To tell the truth that night started with a huge storm with pouring rain and hail, but ended up with a perfect night, as you can see 🤩🌌

⚠️2023 MILKY WAY PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR⚠️

Hey there folks, I am so glad to announce you that, this year, I have been nominated for the second time as one of the 25 best Milky Way Photographer with my picture from Namibia, SOUTH OF HOME😱😱😱🤩🤩🌌

Any year I put so much effort in my work as a photographer, studying how to better my techniques and traveling to the craziest places in the world to capture the beauty of the pristine night sky.
I can say that it’s really always a great satisfaction to see that all this efforts were worth it 🤩🙏🏻

A deep congratulations to all the other 24 photographers that have been nominated! This year selection holds some really incredible work! I am so proud to be among such legend 😍

Finally a sincere thanks goes to that any year keep on constantly sharing and promoting the true aesthetic of Milky Way photography in the international panorama! That’s

Ciao gente, sono così felice di annunciarvi che, quest'anno, sono stato nominato per la seconda volta come uno dei 25 migliori fotografi della Via Lattea con la mia foto dalla Namibia, SOUTH OF HOME😱😱😱🤩🤩🌌

Ogni anno metto così tanto impegno nel mio lavoro di fotografo, studiando come migliorare le mie tecniche e viaggiando nei luoghi più pazzi del mondo per catturare la bellezza del cielo notturno incontaminato.
Posso dire che è davvero sempre una grande soddisfazione vedere che tutti questi sforzi sono valsi la pena 🤩🙏🏻

Ciao ragazzi, con grande piacere condivido con voi l'articolo che ho scritto per Sony Alpha.

Per me è davvero un grande traguardo avere una pubblicazione sul blog di Sony.
Andate a scoprire cosa mi porto dietro quando vado a caccia di "...Darkest Skiess"... vi racconterò un po' della mia esperienza, come affronto i mie scatti notturni e con che attrezzatura e parametri fotografo 😉.
