They can be used to precisely direct the light with any softbox without sagging, in an area up to 20-ft x 20-ft. DoPchoice’s proprietary Snap Technology, revolutionary self-tightening Snapframes and an innovative mounting system make a gaffer’s life easier by ensuring a taut fit when grids are used in a softbox or frame. Patented Snapgrids® utilize this technology for an all-in-one solution. They combine DoPchoice’s self-tightening solution with an instant snap-up softbox. No speed rings are needed, so less can go wrong. Tightening takes about 30 seconds. Patented Snapbags efficiently create soft light with no spill. They are designed for lighting an area up to 8ft by 8ft, and maximize the use of light without needing black flags to prevent spill. After work, all DoPchoice gear packs up in seconds.

Creating beautiful images starts with having control over the light.

For gaffer Tyler Kaschke, creating a refined, natural look on the Trust & Will commercial campaign meant having precise control over where the light went — especially in challenging interior locations.

Using DoPchoice SNAPGRID® with LiteMat fixtures, Tyler was able to shape soft, directional light while reducing spill and maintaining the clean, elevated feel the production required.
