The photograph "The Awakening of the Deity" by Roberto Carnevali will be featured in the Mythography Vol. VI photobook! 🤩

While visiting the Imperial Forums on a hot summer day, Roberto noticed a tree that, when viewed from a particular angle, resembled a gigantic hand.
He used backlighting and chose black and white to enhance the image's strong graphic quality.
Through this composition, he imagined the deity of the great Roman Empire, Jupiter himself, awakening and returning to walk among humankind.

The photograph "Houses of Light at the Edge of the World" by Emanuele Calí will be featured in the TRAVEL photobook! ✈️📖

Along the shores of Sommarøy, the icy wind stung my face and the leaden sky seemed to crush the horizon.
Then, suddenly, these three small houses appeared, like splashes of fresh paint on a gray canvas.
The yellow light filtering through the doors isn't just illumination; it's a promise of refuge and warmth against the wild Norwegian landscape. I took this photo to capture that magical contrast: the severity of the snow-capped mountains and the gentle resilience of human colors.

𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐋 | 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐝! 🥳

The winners of TRAVEL. An Atlas of Stories, Places and Faces, the international open call dedicated to contemporary travel photography, have been announced.
The call invited photographers from around the world to go beyond borders, embrace the unexpected in places, people and cultures, and share their experiences through the lens of their camera.

The selected projects will be featured in a collective exhibition at Sala Veruda during Trieste Photo Days 2026 and published in a photographic volume that will be presented during the festival.

🏆 𝐖𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐫:
"All the light we cannot see - Blackouts in Cuba" by Alec Rill, an evocative visual story of the resilience of the Cuban people during the country's ongoing blackout crisis.

Alec Rill first visited Cuba in 2006, witnessing the hardships of everyday life firsthand. When he returned in 2017, easing economic restrictions had brought a renewed sense of hope.
But during his latest visit in 2024, he found the country in an unprecedented state: long nighttime queues for fuel, food shortages forcing people to search through garbage, and above all, blackouts that had become structural, daily and unpredictable.

It is within this darkness that the New York-based photographer finds his perspective: the glow of mobile phones destined to fade as their batteries die, car headlights illuminating groups of friends gathered outside their darkened homes.
Smiling faces. People dancing. A powerful portrait of resilience, where joy becomes a quiet, collective act of resistance in the face of crisis.

We are delighted to announce the winners of Mythography VI, Exhibit Around’s annual editorial project curated by Professor Enrico Medda, lecturer in Greek Literature at the University of Pisa.

This year’s call was dedicated to two of the most powerful and contrasting deities of the classical pantheon: Jupiter and Bacchus.
One the embodiment of order and sovereign authority, the other the god of transgression, ecstasy and the dissolution of boundaries.

Over ten years of fieldwork, Daniela Silvestri documented the traditions and rituals of the Seto people, a small Finno-Ugric community living between Estonia and Russia.

Congratulations to all the award winners! 👏
We hope to see you in Trieste during the Festival.😁
