Is it kind that people reach out to you only when they need something? But completely ignore you, not check on you, greet you, throughout the whole year?
Obey Allah when things are going nice and easy in your life. If you do so, then Allah will help you during your times of hardship in this life and afterlife. Allah does not feel sad or lonely when we do not reach out to Him. It is for our sake to call upon Allah and remember Him day and night.
Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: ❝Whoever wishes for Allah to respond to their call (dua') during their times of hardship then let them call frequently upon Allah during their times of ease.❞ [Reference: Jami` at-Tirmidhi 3382]
