Most of the photos in this collection were shot in Venice with some showcasing Rome, Verona and Stresa. These photos don’t really fit my military history niche but I like them a lot and wanted to share!

This has to be my favorite photo that I took at Piana Delle Orme outside of Rome, Italy.

This tank was the same Sherman that liberated the concentration camp at the end of the movie Life is Beautiful (Vita è Bella). I’ll make a post with more angles but just wanted to post this as a standalone shot.

Now I see why they were referred to as “angels on our shoulders” by Captain Miller in SPR.

Fun fact though, that nickname was given to P-47 Thunderbolts by American ground forces during the Second World War, and Mustangs were referred to as “little friends” by bomber crews based off of my light research.

The airshow performers in this clip are the who are a three-ship P-51 Mustang aerobatic formation team.
