Want to know my biggest photography regret?

Not booking my own newborn session.

I assumed we’d take hundreds of photos ourselves. After all, we had all the gear… and surely I’d make the time.

Reality had other plans.

We were exhausted. The days blurred into weeks. I took a bunch of phone pics and dodgy selfies, but I barely picked up my “proper” camera.

Looking back, I wish we’d had those beautiful, relaxed photographs of those first few weeks together. They pass so much faster than you can ever imagine.

So if you’re thinking about booking a newborn session, don’t wait because you think you’ll get around to doing it yourself. Be in the photos. Your future self will thank you. ✨
