This project is with the intent to spread
a new culture of photography
and to establish some active meeting places
for the Kingston's ghetto youth, offering, in this way,
new opportunities of work and specialization. It is not just about learning a new job
but also about learning to trust someone. From 2012, as first year of activity,
under the patronage of the Italian Consulate in Jamaica,
JSP will be hosting several free courses of photographic technique, for a period of 1 month. In the two weekly meetings, the aspiring photographers
will be invited to develop a personal project
among which the best works will be chosen and
exhibited in Kingston (Jamaica) and Rome (Italy) at the end of the courses. Within the course some thematic seminars would be planned and explained by internationally renowned photojournalist. At the end of the courses JSP will follow the works of the most talented students, helping and supporting them
in their professional future,
and promoting them as an Agency. DESCRIPTION:
