在校生と来場者が好きなだけ塗った壁に、ロメロ・ブリットが到着してから、黒いペンキでサインを入れた。
その瞬間、教室の壁が一枚の作品になりました。
7月22日、渋谷区立代々木中学校で開かれたチャリティイベント「BRITTO Future Support Project ～子供達の未来に支援を。～」。イベント前から、黄色いサングラスと白衣を身につけた在校生や来場者が、机も黒板も壁も、思い思いの色で塗り替えていきました。そこへ本人（Romero BRITTO）が到着し、上からサインを重ねる。この写真は、その壁を背に撮ったものです。
スニーカーは逆でした。まず彼が真っ白なスケッチャーズにお馴染みのハートマークとサインを入れ、そこから先はみんなが自由に色を足していく。約50足はすべて、塗った子供たちへ贈られました。収益は、子供と若者の居場所づくりへ。
手にしているのは新刊『ロメロ・ブリット完全BOOK』（Begin特別編集／世界文化社・日英バイリンガル）。
1961年に建った校舎は、この夏から建て替え工事に入ります。この壁は、もう二度と見られません。

Everyone painted the wall, then the artist signed it. On the shoes, he signed first and the kids finished it.

Everyone painted the wall first. Then Romero Britto arrived and signed over it in black.
That was the moment a classroom turned into a single piece of art.
July 22, Yoyogi Junior High School in Shibuya, Tokyo. Before the artist showed up, students and visitors put on yellow sunglasses and white coats and covered the desks, the blackboard and the walls in whatever colors they wanted. Britto (Romero BRITTO) walked in and laid his signature on top of all of it. This portrait was shot against that wall.
The sneakers worked the other way around. He drew his heart and his signature on a pair of blank white Skechers first, and the kids took it from there. All 50 pairs went home with the children who painted them. Proceeds from the day go toward creating spaces for kids and young people in Shibuya.

The building went up in 1961. Demolition and rebuilding start this summer. That wall is already gone.
