白金青い池 (しろがねあおいいけ) - or the Biei Blue Pond - was a ~3 hour trip from Sapporo City. The ride was very relaxing, with some parts reminding me of the view whenever I'd drive through SCTEX.

The view of the pond itself was relaxing. It was fairly quiet when we got there, and the wind made it colder.

It was so serene. I wish we could've stayed a little longer just so I could daydream, reflect, and... breathe.

My favorite part with covering kiddie parties? Seeing the adults join the games. The genuine smiles from the fun of just playing around. Yea, that's my favorite.

Earlier this year, my family let me check something off my bucket list: to witness the evening parade of the Takayama Festival (高山祭).

Didn't think it was as crowded as online articles said it would be, but it was. Locals and tourists admiring the festival floats, and kids on board the floats waved at us in amusement too. All the locals pulling and pushing the floats with SO MUCH effort amazed me. It was a really nice sight and a really nice experience.

Definitely one for the books.

My days usually start when most people's days end.

The sunrise has been my sign that my sleeping hours are near, and the sunset has been my cue that I'm supposed to wake up soon.

This has been a great wake-up call for me: to realize, very literally, that my pace is different. Just different. Not worse. Not slower. Not anything else. Just different, but still progressing.
