This photoshoot was the perfect example of how you can still capture absolute magic without showing your kiddos' faces!

I always respect client's wishes for what can/can't go on the internet - and I'm more than happy to offer creative ways to do just that! ...Especially if it means I get up close and personal with lil fresh toe beans (I said what I said, fellow parents get it 😂👣)

The 'Ber months sneak up so fast! I'm trying to stay ahead of the Fall and Winter craziness (it's a good crazy, no doubt).

🍁 FALL COLORS: Planning for Nov. 1-11. **Sign-up will be released Oct. 1**

🎅🎄CHRISTMAS: 11/21 for studio, 11/22 for Christmas on the beach. Sign-up will be released Oct. 21

⛩ SNOWY TORII GATE: First heavy, sticky snowfall. Typically January into February.

There's also a few other fun opportunities to consider, like 🍎 apple picking (soooo very Aomori), 🌼 Cosmos blooming and 💛 Ginkgo leaves falling. Apple picking and Cosmos are scheduled at request. Ginkgos will be a special one-day event!

I can't lie - hydrangea (ajisai) season was exceptionally difficult this year! Was this not the most wet, dreary summer EVER!? ☔

🥲 What should have been two back-to-back days of photos turned into squishing in sessions any time the sun peeked out over the course of two weeks. Agh! I am eternally grateful for the clients who were determined to make it work, some with just hours notice!

Also, another "last" checkmark for my time in Japan 🇯🇵😭

Another from the vault (AKA April) that I should have posted sooner. So stunning!

Unearthed these beautiful photos to share that I'll be releasing my fall session signups in early October - So why share these? It's the same location as my autumn photos: Hoshinos by the train station! So pretty *any* time of year, but amaaaazing with reds, yellows and oranges.

Please keep an eye on my page for exact release date! All fall sessions will tentatively take place within the first two weeks of November. Can't wait 🍁

A lot of requests lately for all things JAPAN 🇯🇵⛩ And I don't blame any of you! I love it here, too. Can't believe our time here ends in less than a year 🥲

This sweet couple wanted to document their special time in country with a combo shrine and beach session - and I'm obsessed!

This summer has been busier than I expected... Feels like I have barely posted lately!

Usually July and August slow down with the heat (I don't blame anyone for avoiding photos when it's hot 🥵) - but there's been so many expecting families, babies born and just general requests for memories captured. Between two littles in the house during yochien break and running around with my camera, I'm staying plenty busy!

ANYWHO! I totally forgot to show off one of my personal favorite memories of this year so far: Baby Sakura on the way ➡ she's arrived 🍼🩷🌸

You know it's summer when the beachy sessions start stacking. And I recently had three sandy *maternities* in less than a week 🤯

The Tanesashi Coast never disappoints for a stunning bump backdrop, no matter the weather!

This cute daybed makes studio sessions with babies and toddlers easy peasy - especially when you've got FIVE adorable young ones 😎

May I also remind you that my studio has A/C (and heat), so if you're looking to escape the summer meltdown, it's a great option for photos of any kind!

I wouldn't normally describe my photography style as 'moody,' but on this day the Misawa sea fog choose for us!

It might not have been a beautifully sunny beach day... but honestly, THIS is the Misawa we all know. So what better way for this family to say sayonara to their Japan chapter?

PS I must have wiped my lens 6,000x that morning 😅
