This is incredibly disappointing to read. Forgetting the Ai component for the moment, to actively make profit off a photo that you don't hold the rights to sell and that you have edited without consent is alarming.
Sadly, its something that whilst I have been pretty quiet in the recent past, I have been trying to keep up with the karting world and what is happening, I have been seeing more and more Ai generated images used in promotional materials and such.
Now for full disclosure, I have never used Ai to edit or modify any images I have made that would be used for sales in the past. However, I do believe that Ai has a place and is incredibly handy. I have used it a lot for concepts and ideas for various things.
But when you see promotional material posted online where sponsors logos are now spelt wrong, the images make no sense and it seems that no one took the 10 seconds to effectively fact check the image, it really is sad to see good photographers having their work edited, without consent, especially to what ends up being complete slop.

The Tokyo Sakura Tram which runs on the Toden Arakawa Line is a brilliant little tram. We took it today down to Waseda to visit a few shrines not far from the University there.

Got out to the Subaru Museum in Mitaka today. Got to see a piece of history there with one of Colin McRae's cars. Seeing it is cool, sitting in it is even better.
Pretty special place, not huge, but it's got a great selection of cars and trophies on display.

I want to send a big congratulations to Ben from and Tim from for their wins in the awards.
Both Ben and Tim are passionate about promoting the sport of and their work is incredible.
Great to see Karting Australia put together a set of awards for photography. It's come a long way in the 22 years on and off that I've been around photographing the sport. Maybe I need to try and get out more to put the pressure on you guys this year 😂😂😂

Congrats again, couldn't be happier for you both.

Well, Day 1 is done at Junior Top Guns for 2025 at the . Based on recent history and my availability to dedicate some time to shooting at the track again, I haven't said much in the lead up. But it was great to see so many familiar faces again.
Just a quick post from Cadet 12. Normally, most of these wouldn't make the cut, but this happened so quick and of course I was set up for particular style... But, the good news is that not only was Emily-Grace all ok in this, she went on to finish the race also. I was pretty happy to see that. Hopefully with the landing there wasn't any damage to the chassis. More to come soon.

It was like a new version of Pokemon for the officials at after a tyre came off I believe (and please correct of wrong) Lachlan Sharpe's kart on the roll arounds.. fair effort considering his kart went off at the old hairpin..

It was a long 4 days, but the Go Kart Racing Club put on an amazing show for the Australian Karting Champions Round 5. New national champions, a first time in the modern era double class champion in the same year. Personally, I witnessed not only some incredible driving, and what comes with all sports, inevitable heartbreak for some, but personally saw 6 chain guards come off, which for me is a record also!!
I will be posting some photos here, and I will post some photos on the website also. I need to get through editing and such over the coming days where I can.
