Overgrown vegetation covers dilapidated red-brick structures on Okinoshima, the largest of the Tomogashima Islands. 🌱 These ruins are remnants of an abandoned military fort built in the late 1800s and early 1900s, giving Okinoshima an uncanny resemblance to the floating island in the animated film Castle in the Sky.

The sun sets over the fishing village of Saikazaki is a sight to behold. ⚓ The destination has earned the nickname ‘Japan's Amalfi Coast’ because its houses, clustered on a slope, resemble those of the Italian region.
