Krokodíl nílsky | Nile Crocodile | Crocodylus niloticus
.. I've had a natural respect for crocodiles, but also other reptiles since childhood, but they never cease to fascinate me. Maybe because, after all, in their case, they are literally prehistoric animals that "appeared" here on our planet, far earlier than our human ancestors.

.. unlike our European starling, the African ones are mostly more colorful. And this subspecies certainly belongs to the most colorful ones.

.. youngsters are very fond of being transported either on their mothers' backs or from below on their bellies. Sometimes it's literally an artistic piece, but the fascinating thing is that they never fall until they let go and run on their own.

Slon africký | African Elephant | Loxodonta africana
.. this photo may seem very idyllic to someone, but the truth is that what you see on it is a dry riverbed and elephants looking for at least some places of groundwater with their trunks. I have been returning to this place very often in recent years, and the fact is that I have never seen the river basically completely dried up. And to make matters worse, a few weeks after that, huge downpours and a tidal wave swept through the area. Simply a state from one extreme to another.

.. despite the fact that the lion is considered the so-called the king of the savannah, the lioness never ceases to be alert so that her cubs can play to their heart's content. It is generally known that the critical period of life in the wild is "childhood" and even the young of the most feared predators are not practically safe.
