"My first wife and second wife are making my life miserable, and I'm afraid of getting married to a third one to avoid meeting my early grave because I don't understand anymore. I'm regretting everything now. My first wife wasn't bad at all, but I followed those who were saying that if you marry a second wife, both will be doing competition and that will make them take better care of the husband. Honestly, my first wife was good in all aspects; I won't lie. I never used my mouth to request for s*x because she was always there for me. CHAi! What have l don to myself? When I wanted to marry my second wife, l thought l was about to enjoy life to the fullness, I called my wife one night after our dinner. "Obim! There's something I want to discuss with you.l said already feeling like a real man, Hope there's no problem, Obim!" My wife asked with a calm voice as usual. "I don't think it's a problem, because to me it is a great news but it might sound like a problem in your ears, l saidI shaking my legs, l want to get a second wife," I said. "Jehovah!" My wife shouted. "What did you just say?" she asked, shaking as if it was a bad idea. Anyway to her it was a bad idea but to me it wasn't"You've heard what I said, and my mind is already made up," I said. "Oh, you've already made up your mind? To get another wife,? Where did l do wrong? She asked, looking at me but l didn't want our eyes to jam, Okay, fine, no problem, no problem ooooo!" That was how she just said it and left. I noticed it was already eating her up because she slimed downn instantly to the extent that people started asking if she was sick. Even one of my friends asked me what was going on with my wife, and when I told him, he was so disappointed in me. "Why do you want to bring problems upon yourself?" my friend asked me. "That's my decision, that's my family affair, but do not interfere," I warned him seriously. The issue even made him distance himself from me.
My wife was seriously going down every day, and people were asking questions here and there. So, I had to confront her and warn her to stop bringing bad name to me because I was taking good care of her. I also went as far as saying I would leave the marriage if she couldn't stand having a co-wife, but she didn't say a word. Actually, I've been dating this second wife for almost three years, thinking that I've studied her well without knowing that women have multiple characters. Chai! I would have maintained my small family than invite trouble.
The day I welcomed my new wife, I was surprised seeing my first wife running around, helping those who were cooking, bringing ingredients from nowhere to support. I was even scared of eating the food that day. After the whole celebration, she carried a very expensive handbag and knocked at our door: knock, knock, knock. When I opened it, I nearly turned back, but as a man, I composed myself. "What do you want?" I asked. "Obim, why are you stopping me on the way? Where is my co-wife?" "Good evening, ma," my second wife greeted. "Good evening, my love! Welcome, welcome. Please always take care of our husband. He doesn't have a problem, but do not try to rub shoulders with him if you want peace to reign between you and him. Aside from that, you will enjoy him as I was and will still," she said. I was amazed at how she summoned courage and confidence, which made me fall in love with her all over again. "Take this little gift as my means of welcoming you to our happy family. Please don't mind the way I look now; the news of getting married to a new wife broke me down, and that's how I look this way, but now it's part of me," she added.
The next thing I saw was that my new wife stood up and hugged her tightly, and both of them cried like babies. "Please, I'm sorry. It wasn't in my mind to break your heart or your marriage. If I would be given a second chance, I would say that I will not marry your husband again," she said, still hugging each other. "What? What did I hear you say?" I asked my second wife, but no one said a word to me, so I left both of them and went outside. Ever since then, both of them became best of friends.
"Obim! I want to go and stay in the same room with my co-wife," my second wife said. "I don't understand," I said because everything was confusing me. "Is she using charm on you?" I asked. "Charm kwa? My co-wife doesn't do a thing like that. She is just a good woman." "I wonder what most men want in this life. Everything you told me about her was all lies. You condemned her just to get me. Now that you've gotten me, what next?" Before I could even say a word again, she had packed her things and moved in with my first wife.
