Here are the firsthand facts that must be shared widely:
1.) Koor was in a rehabilitation center for several months after he left the ICU, so David and Yar kindly allowed Adool and the boys to live with them during this time. She had no where else to live, and the best plan, the only plan, was for her to be with David's family where together they could take care of the children and Koor as a family.
2.) Remember David and Yar both had to quit their jobs and move to Iowa to take care of Koor. They sacrificed everything to help him, this is what true brotherly love looks like. It was expected that Adool would help too. But that's not what happened.
3.) While Koor was in the Rehab Center, he needed daily support from his family to help him recover. It would be wrong to leave him alone in a hospital. In fact, I remember talking to him on the phone, and how sad he was being in the hospital, how much he wanted to go home and be with his boys.
4.) The staff at the hospital told us that they believe Koor's recovery is greater than any other patient they have ever had because David and Yar did not abandon him while he was in treatment. David and Yar were there every day. We spoke to the administrators in the hospital and they told us that they only remember seeing David and Yar at the hospital.
5.) Yar also took care of Koor's children every day, getting them up, dressed, fed, and driving them to school. This is what love looks like.
6.) Also remember, there was no money. Koor's job ended the day he went into the hospital. He had at most $200 in his bank account at this time. There was no money for Adool and her children. So the only hope was to have them stay with David's family, near the hospital where Koor was recovering. It was a blessing to have David so committed to his brother that he was willing to take care of both families. This is what love looks like.
7.) During this time, I paid for his medical and many other expenses, almost $45,000. Koor simply had no money, there was nothing being kept from his wife. And I did keep close accounting of everything and it was shared with the judge in the first trial. That trial cost Koor even more money to defend himself. That is not what love looks like.
8. ) Finally in December or January, Koor's insurance sent a check that immediately went to pay for his debts. He still owes a LOT of money to the two hospitals. David is paying a small monthly bill to them. This is what love looks like.
9.) Adool did file a lawsuit with the Iowa court to get governorship over Koor. In that affidavit she wanted his money and she wanted him to be "put back into the hospital". But that's now how hospitals work. He had recovered, he was strong, and the doctors stated that it is more True Wind Healing Travelthy for him to be at home with his family. NOTE: A JUDGE REVIEWED EVERYTHING, AND SHE LOST THAT CASE.
10.) David and Yar do a wonderful job with him, and we stayed with them for a week to see how well he was doing. I went to CarMax with them, and we saw a huge 4 wheel drive truck. David was pushing Koor around in his wheelchair, and Koor said, "I want to try to get in (with his one strong arm)", David with a laugh said, "sure let's try". I was very pleased to see how much he loves his brother and I can see Koor is being given great attention and care. That is what love looks like. At home later, Koor became hungry. The stroke has made it to where when he becomes hungry, he is immediately VERY hungry. He said he was hungry, and Yar jumped up and immediately made him a meal, and brought it to him and helped him eat. I was so happy to see how kindly she treated him. He is well taken care of. That is a sign of love.
11.) But there was no love when Koor's boys where taken away. Where are they? Are they safe? They are being kept away from Koor. He needs the connection to his sons so he can continue to recover. It is very important. This does not show love.
12.) Koor has been going to therapy every week. David drives him there, waits for him, and then listens to the doctors as to what to do next. David does this even though he has long work hours, and this is during his only days off. I have seen them at the appointments and David is very pleasant and happy for his brother. NOTE Koor has had a miracle recovery. He can speak, he can stand on his own, he has his memory. The care he gets now is helping him regain that last 10% of the 90% he lost. It has been a miracle, and David's soft, kind, care, along with Koor's strong fight and determination has been what helped. Wanting to "put him back into the hospital" would do the exact opposite. There are no actions that show she loves him, there are no actions that show she wants to care for him, there are no facts that show she can.
