The first day of Zippy and Lipson’s wedding journey begins with the groom, his best man, clansmen, and close friends preparing themselves and dressing in traditional regalia before setting out on foot to the bride’s home. Upon arrival, the groom’s party presents the dowry.

Before sunset, the bride undergoes the traditional shaving ceremony, after which her head is adorned with red ochre, marking her transition into marriage as she awaits the next stage of the wedding celebrations.

The third and final day of Zippy and Lipson’s wedding journey — from Seketet to Naiborkeju. ❤️

This special day marks the bride’s official departure from her parents’ home as she begins a new chapter with her husband. Surrounded by elders, family, and blessings, Zippy receives final words of wisdom before leaving Seketet for her new home.

In keeping with the samburu tradition, she travels with the groom without looking back, symbolizing the permanence of her union and the beginning of her new matrimonial journey.
