Winnie Odinga Rebukes Okech Salah, Calls for DCI Probe or Mental Evaluation

Winnie Odinga has sharply criticized Okech Salah, stating that he should either be summoned to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for questioning or be taken to Mathare Mental Hospital for evaluation.

Speaking during an interview at Citizen TV, Winnie accused Salah of spreading falsehoods and deliberately peddling misinformation about her late father.

She dismissed claims suggesting she was closely involved at the time of his death, clarifying that her father passed away in India and that she was not with him during his final moments.

Winnie described the allegations as malicious lies aimed at tarnishing her family’s name, warning that such reckless statements could attract legal consequences.

She called on authorities to take action against individuals who use public platforms to spread false information and incite public misunderstanding.

Power Outage at Ragana Primary Enters Second Week, Residents Demand Answers

It is now over a week since the transformer serving Ragana Primary School was removed by a team from the Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) in Migori. Since then, residents have been left in total darkness, with no clear explanation from the utility provider.

Three key facilities in the area remain without electricity, disrupting essential services. Local residents, who also rely on the transformer for domestic power, are growing increasingly frustrated.

“We need urgent answers from the KPLC Managing Director,” said one of the affected residents. “This prolonged blackout is affecting our lives and livelihoods.”
