B.O.L.D.E.RB.E.A.D.S|
"A part of my life was spent constantly wishing I could be on either side of an imaginary scale that had me at a point of equilibrium. Saying I was just battling my own share of insecurities would be an understatement. I felt lost and at a road’s end. Incapable of moving forward, I turned backwards into my past and fatefully rediscovered an old hobby that allowed me to explore my heritage from an ornamental perspective that I’m yet to fully express.
Finally, finding significance in the appreciation of my culture; The African culture, I unearthed a HUGE part of myself hands deep in a bowl of beads. I adore the colors, variations and flexibility of my craft. Beads can morph into anything you want to be. And If something so inert can have so much capability and potential, then I believe I’m worth so much more than the world could ever comprehend.
My purpose is to enhance the world’s perception of beauty without risking violence or the earth like blood diamonds do. Beads, bead work, represents an equality that the world can only dream of; that in spite of anyone’s finances I can offer beauty to anyone and everyone.
I am my true self in a world that conditions humanity into believing perfection is anything other than what is within."o.l.d.e.rb.e.a.d.s
