It is evident that Africa is in abundance of skills, resources, people etc. The challenge has been mindset. And forums like Africa Soft Power Summit change that bit by bit.

Deep in Narok County, bordering Tanzania, there exists a Masai Community that was displaced by authorities.

To these communities, land is their everything; their culture, their identity, their livelihood.
We were tasked to document the realities of these families after the displacement.
According to verified sources, more than 70,000 Masais were affected in a move meant to take part of the land and use it for conservation purposes.
Documenting this story was painful. One can only imagine how these communities have lost land that they knew of since several generations before them.
Despite that happening, we saw the hope in their eyes. The faith in their faces. That all will be well.

Last year, we documented the Women in STEM Africa Summit. Each conversation. Each insight. Each woman's vision.

The Women in STEM Africa Summit brought together some of the most innovative women in African technology.

But here's what most people don't understand: A summit ends. But the impact can last forever if it's documented right.

We documented four women leaders:

1. Claire Matuka (Machine Learning Engineer, Tiko)

Message: "Your background is your strength, not your weakness"

Impact: Hundreds of young women saw themselves in her story

2. Monica Muhoya (Sister Speaks Global, Heels for Pads Foundation) Message: "Impact over profit. Always."

Impact: 25,000+ girls have received menstrual products through her innovation

3. Melody Mukhwana (Humainly AI)

Message: "Build AI to augment humans, not replace them"

Impact: Climate-smart farming bot helping rural communities

4. Dr. Clarissa Soehnchen (WeMasomo)

Message: "Build with people, not for them"

Impact: Sexual & reproductive health education reaching teens via WhatsApp

In addition to the traditional event coverage(photos and videos), our team provided speech transcripts and panel summaries at the end of the summit.
