Louis learned his trade in Paris in fashion, architecture and the performing arts.
In the studio or on site, he exercises his passion using
different types of cameras without forgetting those he
tinkers with… after several Russian FED 2 cameras, a replica of the Leica, and he works
with a full-format Leica Q, light, silent and with many other qualities.
Eager to travel and meet people, he makes a point
of honor to illustrate his escapades and the environments he
discovers on his journey.
Night is his favorite field and especially in black and white.
After traveling through India, Southeast Asia,
Russia, the Dominican Republic, he settled in Burgundy.
This art enthusiast in general, created a gallery and a photo studio in 1995.

He welcomes painters, sculptors and photographers from the
region or from foreign countries to showcase their works.
The events create a buzz and the gallery is a great success.
He himself participates in several themes: a series of nudes that are quite "Rock'n roll" Feminine / Feminine, 666 with a feminine transposition of the crucifixion punk vision, Pronostic vital engagé (a vision of the future),
then come the moving bodies, a series on traditional dances in Asia and classical dances in St. Petersburg, a series of
nudes of men "Masculine / Masculine", Metamorphosis, transformation of men into women,
The 2018 projects look promising: street, building, tattoos, physiognomy (vanity), reconstruction of mythological scenes. It was during a recent trip to Thailand that he focused his photographic
reportage on a theme he had wanted to address for a long time
The Scream of MUNCH with passers-by in the street and the cry of terror becomes a smile.
He defines his photographic approach as that of a messenger, carrying through his photographs a meaning that he wishes to reveal to others.
His photography is essentially characterized by a vision, a
pictorial approach. He uses photography as a raw material, a permanent work of observation and research on the
light, texture and composition of his images.
His work is both reportage and author photography, it is imbued with humanism, it knows how to make us feel all the dignity that inhabits the subjects he photographs. Finely composed, always with discretion, his images demonstrate an astonishing capacity to constantly marvel at his environment.
Louis de Lille is also a visual artist. For an exhibition
on Contemporary Art in which he participates, he will present
one of his major works “MünchenKenstein”, a composition
of photos of a building in deconstruction photographed and recomposed, on tracing paper, and put under eposxi resin presented in Contemporary Art galleries in Munich at the time he lived in Bavaria.
Louis's achievements and exhibitions have continued over the years, 15 years of exhibitions, 10 themes per year with projects, until 2024. The 2024 exhibitions were in the new studio and art gallery in Jomtien in Thailand. They focused on a general theme linked together by a travel diary Globe trotter, Photos of yesteryear, back to the past, Pop homage to Andy Warrol pop art atmosphere "The Factory", H2o on Water Fashion industry cyborg.
He is preparing for 2025/2026 in his Jomtien studio a photographic report on traditional Thai romanticism, street art, portraits, working life on the street. These achievements will continue in Asia.
He likes to photograph moments of complicity with unknown people and
these moments become unforgettable.
He emphasizes that the image rights of the models are respected and that the latter
must be at least the age of .
