Steve Tan is a self-taught photographer who has built a career on his twin passions for travel and photography. Over the past 12 years, he has travelled the world, amassing a substantial and compelling collection of images of people and places – in more than 75 countries on five continents – for offline projects and distribution as stock imagery. Steve occasionally runs workshops teaching all aspe

cts of travel photography for individuals and small groups and leads photography tours in Korea and international destinations. His photography is represented on Lonely Planet, Gurushot, Shutterstock, 500px, Flickr, and Sony Alpha Universe. When he’s not on the road, Steve divides his time between Seoul, South Korea and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Great to be back. A farmer planted hundreds and hundreds of plum seeds here several decades ago hoping that one day her village will be beautiful enough to give people a reason to visit. She is sadly no longer with us but her wish has come true. Every year, thousands of visitors flock here to enjoy the beginning of spring!

Lost in a sea of delicate blooms, the wisteria at Naritasan Park has stolen my heart and soul. As if painting a canvas with shades of lavender and lilac, these enchanting flowers evoke a sense of peace and wonder.

This was a totally unexpected discovery. I knew it was the wisteria season in Japan, but I wasn’t sure where to go. Decided to check this park out after visiting Shinsoji in Narita and was blown away. I captured the best I could.

Which 10 do you like most and why?

Hiking in Odaesan Mountain during winter was an experience of a lifetime. The snow-covered landscape, with tree branches showing snow flowers, made it feel like I was walking in a winter wonderland.

I'm sorry for posting this late, but it was tough to choose just 10 photos out of nearly 800 that were taken.

The views from the top of the mountain were breathtaking and the hike itself was exhilarating. There's something about being in nature during the winter that makes it feel magical.

If you haven't had a chance to visit Odaesan Mountain yet, I highly recommend it! The snow adds an extra layer of beauty that's hard to describe.

Unbelievable sight, magical moments captured. The beauty of a frozen waterfall is something you have to see to believe. Feels like I was in Narnia and wish you all could be here to witness it too.

From a visit to the Garden of Morning Calm this autumn and I still cannot take my mind off how beautiful this place is. It felt like I was in another world. It was tough choosing which 10 photos to share but I hope you will love these the same way I do!

Hello from Sungkyunkwan University. After nearly 6 long years, I have finally made my first visit here!

Founded in 1398, it was and still is the oldest educational institution in Korea. Autumn here is so beautiful and those two Gingko trees are at least 600 years old!
