Planning a wedding in Korea with two cultures is no small feat, but Cedar & Sarah made it so unique to them—and I was honored to be part of their journey

From the moment they said “I do” to a modern, inclusive twist on the paebaek ceremony, this wedding was an unforgettable celebration of love and culture.

✨ Even when pre-ceremony stress hit, Sarah stayed calm and radiant. Together, we found a peaceful space where she could center herself and savor the moment.
✨ Cedar & Sarah wanted the traditional paebaek to be more inclusive, making it a reflection of their values. Having witnessed hundreds of pyebaeks, I was able to help them change up some of the ceremony.

Part two of Laura and Ryan’s Seoul destination wedding: a celebration full of love, culture, and unforgettable moments. They invited their friends from around the world to experience a traditional pyebaek ceremony, and it was so special to see Laura share this part of her heritage with everyone. Ryan even prepared a speech in Korean, making sure Laura’s family could feel the love in every word. ❤️

I was truly blown away by the warmth of their friends and family—they welcomed me in like a guest from the start, and it made the whole experience that much more incredible. Laura and Ryan also gifted me a hand-painted Korean-style mug, which has become my favorite coffee mug and a daily reminder of this beautiful day and their kindness.

Thank you, Laura and Ryan, for such an amazing celebration and for letting me capture it all. 🫶🏼

18-05-2024 Samcheonggak pt.1

When Laura and Ryan decided to say “I do” (again!), they knew Seoul was the perfect spot to bring their worlds together. They’d already had a small celebration in Sydney, but Seoul felt like the place to really honor Laura’s roots, especially with friends and family flying in from all over.

For the vibe, they went with a cozy hanok venue that totally embraced that traditional Korean feel, surrounded by beautiful mountains and gardens. It turned their destination wedding into something way more personal and relaxed, like a big family gathering.

And Laura’s look? She went for a stunning hanbok instead of a classic white dress, pairing it with a western-style veil—such a cool blend of her heritage and personal style.

Ya'll, this day 😍 Little back story so you can appreciate these photos for the phenomenal miracles that they are...

During our consult, Doreen and Jake were very set on having sunshine, and clear skies photos. In these cases, I block out two to three days so that my couples can get exactly what they traveled all the way to Korea for. Naturally, I kept a close eye on the weather and it was all good for our shoot day up until 24 hours before. Rain was forecast for the morning and clear skies in the afternoon. I was going to reschedule all of our styling appointments and move the shoot to the next day... but Jesus spoke to me and said don't. I haven't been failed by this voice so I decided to listen.

On the morning it looked grim and as we were driving to hair and makeup it started to rain. On the outside, I was calm and collected, on the inside I kept fighting the fear. Makeup was done and it was still raining as we were driving to the first location.

BUT when we stopped and got everyone looking gorgeous, the skies just opened. Like on The Simpsons 😂 The most important location for D & J was the forest. I kid you not, as we stepped foot in the forest, this ethereal, misty pocket of light appeared and I have never seen Jeju SO beautiful in all of my career. I'm still in awe of that moment and the beautiful photos Doreen and Jake will have forever.

Doreen and Jake, you put some mad trust in me and I am ETERNALLY thankful for you and for the magical day that we spent in Jeju. You'll definitely on my website for yearrrrrsssss to come 😘

The wedding of T&N in the picturesque Korean countryside was a beautiful celebration of love, nature, and a shared passion for horse riding. From the meaningful venue to the elegant attire, every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the couple’s unique story.

"One of my favorite details that added a touch of whimsy to our day was the incorporation of carrots from a local farmhouse for our photoshoot with friends. It was my husband’s idea; everyone loved holding these cute little carrots. Another unforgettable moment was the cake cutting during the reception. While unplanned, Terrance and I spontaneously cut and shared the cake with all our guests. The beautiful AND delicious cake became a highlight, and I’ll never forget those intimate moments of sharing little chats with loved ones." Narae reminiscing about her magical wedding day.

Storytime!

Remember that time I went to Singapore for a shoot at the Raffles Hotel? Well, on the way there, the taxi drove by this STUNNING building and I just couldn't stop staring! I whipped out my phone and filmed a quick video, already dreaming of the photos I could create there someday.

For a whole year, I scrolled through breathtaking pre-wedding photos taken at the Singapore National Gallery, totally obsessed. Fast forward to last February, and guess what? It was finally MY turn to check this incredible location off my bucket list! And let me tell you, it did NOT disappoint!
