"151 dead in Itaewon disaster... 97 women 54 men 19 foreigners

As of 10:30 a.m. on the 30th, the death toll of the 'Itaewon Galler Hill disaster' has been temporarily counted as 151.

According to the 6:30 a.m. announcement on this day, the death toll has increased to 2 from 149 people. The number of foreign deaths has increased from 2 initially identified by fire authorities to 19.

Fire officials said at the site briefing, a total of 233 casualties, including 151 killed and 82 injured.

Of the 151 deaths, 97 were women and 54 were men. Foreign deaths include Iran, Uzbek, Chinese and Norwegian. Fire officials explained that the number of deaths increased as the nationality of the victims classified as Koreans were further confirmed.

Most of the victims are estimated to be youth in their teens and twenties. Of the 82 injured, 19 injured (63 injured).

Fire officials say there could be more deaths among the 19 heavy boxes. All searches for ouler have ended and will now focus on finding the cause of the incident in future.
