Blue hour reflections at Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond.

The royal garden was first created in 674 CE during the Silla Kingdom. While the wooden pavilions have been reconstructed, the pond itself is original — an archaeological site where thousands of artifacts were discovered during excavations in the 1970s, revealing glimpses of court life more than 1,300 years ago.

🌉✨ Woljeong Bridge — A Hidden Gem in Gyeongju ✨🌉
Walking across Woljeong Bridge feels like stepping into a dream — peaceful river views, soft breezes, and that perfect blend of nature + history that Gyeongju does so well. 💛

📍 Euljiro Brewing | Seoul
Neon signs stacked on top of each other. Tight alleys humming after dark. This is one of the most photographed stretches of Euljiro — and Euljiro Brewing sits right in the middle of it.
Euljiro wasn’t always cool. For decades this area was packed with small factories, printing shops, metal workshops, and tool stores — the working backbone of Seoul. When those industries faded, the alleys stayed… and creative spaces quietly moved in. Bars, cafés, and breweries didn’t erase the grit — they built around it.
That’s why places like Euljiro Brewing work here. Industrial energy, bold graphics, and an iconic logo that hits especially hard under neon light. The window decals glow at night, the interiors feel intentional without being polished, and the whole alley becomes part of the experience.
I don’t drink — and I’d still tell you to stop here.
The vibe carries it. The food’s solid. And there are two taprooms basically across from each other, which feels very Euljiro.
If you’re wandering Seoul with a camera after dark, this isn’t just a bar — it’s part of the visual language of the neighbourhood.

A new year episode, but not a clean slate story.

2025 hit hard. Teaching kept me grounded. Photography kept me moving. Loss forced everything into perspective.
This episode is about the work, the grief, and the decision to keep going into 2026 without pretending everything’s fine.

In the first episode of 2026, I take a hard look back at 2025 and speak honestly about the year that tested me in ways I didn’t expect. We talk about the work that kept me standing. Teaching photography every Saturday in Ulsan. Watching students st...

The hardest part isn’t the cold or the gear — it’s picking the camera up when grief makes everything feel heavy.
This morning I went out anyway. No chasing perfect shots. Just moving. Just pressing the shutter. Proof I’m still here.
Creativity doesn’t always come from inspiration. Sometimes it comes from refusal — refusing to stop, to disappear, to wait until things feel easy.
Still shooting. Still learning. Still here.

A raw reflection on grief, winter, and the grind of picking up the camera again—how photography becomes an act of resistance, survival, and refusing to disappear.
