I do my best to get footage of the “behind-the-scenes” during my sessions because I want you to get a glimpse into what my sessions look like, but if I can also teach you something as I go, that would be cool too. We’re LIVE!!! 🎉💃🏻🍾

I set business goals this year that didn’t work out. So I have been getting done all the things that weren’t on my list.

A NEW website launch is one of those things.
It's been long overdue since my website has needed a facelift, so I gave it an overhaul!

I know that this is not the news many of you have been expecting, after receiving SOOO many messages from you: asking if I’m pregnant.

I should be more careful posting Stories stating that "I have some news, coming soon!” 😅😂🙈

Four posts ago, I mentioned that I discover a new location! (New to me) anyways, I promised to share photos from this “new location” on the island, so here they are!!!💞 ⠀

I’m so in love with how these photos turned out in the Mastic Trail. But I can’t take full credit; I must mention that the lovely couple you see here, were incredible to work with. They made this session look dreamy & magical, don’t you think?? .tx .ky ⠀

Well, the reality of this part of the shoot was not so much! ⠀
⠀
You could not imagine the number of mosquitoes that swarmed us!! The amount of bug repellent we went through, and even then we always had to be moving and swatting the mosquitoes away, we could not stay still for a second😅 Yet, you would never know that just from looking at these photos, they made it look easy - even though to get these shots was far from! I love working with couples who are adventurous, spontaneous, and have a positive attitude like you guys!!! 🙌🏼🥰🤗 ⠀

Oh yeah, and enjoying a cold beer together, before entering mosquitoes city, helped a little too🍻😬😂🙈 ⠀

Feeling on top of the world and celebrating hard 🎉 WHY? ⠀

Because I am grateful! ⠀

I’ve been excited all week to share this post but with current events, I’ve had to rethink what I was going to say: originally I intend for this caption to be about the fact that my hubby is starting a new job! (how proud & excited I am for him) ⠀
⠀
Over the past couple of years he’s been the most wonderful support to me, encouraged me to “go & be” doing what I love, and to be doing it for me!⠀
⠀
I appreciated him so much for empowering me, and at the same time, I’ve felt guilty for the sacrifices he’s made, in order that I could focus (without massive amounts of pressure) to get myself flying - with my feet off the ground. ⠀
⠀
We were going to have this week off together anyways before he starts his new job.⠀
⠀
Even though we may not get to do all the things we plannd this week togeter, we’re still celebrating today and the rest of this week! ⠀
⠀
Recently I thought, how can I be sharing our joy at a time like this? And how can we be celebrating in times like this? ⠀
⠀
Again, just need to make adjustments on my outlook 😉 my new thought is - how can I let anything rob us of our joy at a time like this!? ⠀

We may not be in control of the world around us, but I am in control of me - and you are in control of you! We, humans, have a gift - the freedom to choose how to react in trying times & how to handle difficult situations. ⠀

I’m harnessing my human superhero gift - by CHOOSING to be Joyful, to be kind, to be grateful, to be strong, and to encourage. ⠀

Last Saturday, I photographed a surprise proposal at Smith’s Cove. ⠀

I have been dying to share some photos ever since, because, man, was it ever a surprise - He did DARN GOOD!!! ⠀
⠀
I brought my beach chair and sat, looking like I was there just chilling (in beach mode) When they walked by me, my heart beat picked up a little faster! I knew it was time for me to get into position, but still act nonchalant. (Pretending to be a tourist, snapping pictures of palm trees, seashells, & things.)⠀
⠀
I watched them from a distance - talking, enjoying the views, just happy to be together in such a beautiful place. It became very clear to me when she realized what was happening, in the moment! Capturing her reaction got me all emotional 😭 ⠀
⠀
I wanted to let them stay in this moment, sharing in it together for as long as possible! After she spotted me capturing the whole thing, then we continued taking pictures, in what will forever be “their spot”. Then I snuck them away to a second location... double tap if you want more 😉⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Did you want to see more photos from our car wash shoot? Here they are! ⠀

I wanted to recreate an old photo of my grandparents dated back to the 50s and we did just that! The rest of the time we spent washing our car, and chasing each other around with the garden hose! This was the most fun we’ve had while having our photos taken (not awkward) and I’m inspired to do the same for my clients inquiring about couples sessions! ⠀

Posing for the camera can feel awkward, I know🙈 instead of posing, let’s plan an activity! You're welcome to wash your own car 😂😉 or choose any activity that feels more like YOU, something you have fun doing together as a couple, something that makes you feel comfortable. I want your photos to be unique & meaningful to you. ⠀
