Thelme costume

Thelme costume may refer to as the main costume of low country dance tradition. This costume arrangement is very beautifully and colorfully arranged. In addition to that, low-country dancers are using many more costume sets. This thelme costume is mostly used in shanthikarama.
These shanthikarma are conducted to protect the health of low country people as well as the productivity of the crops and animals.
“ pahatharata beraya” is used in this low country dancing as the drum. Because of it’s long shape, it is called as “Dik beraya”. Also this is called as “goshaka beraya”, because of its loud sound. As well as this is called as “Yak beraya”, because it is used for Yak thovil. This drum is unique to Ruhunu area, so some people called this drum as “Ruhunu beraya”. Likethis, this drum is in use under several terms. It is special that the drum is made using skins that are taken from animals.

“Summit Level” යනු ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ මධ්‍යම කඳුකරය හරහා දිවෙන ප්‍රධාන දුම්රිය මාර්ගයේ උසම ස්ථානයයි.මෙය නුවරඑළිය දිස්ත්‍රික්කයේ පට්ටිපොල දුම්රිය ස්ථානයේ සිට මීටර් 800 ක දුරින් පිහිටා ඇත.

ලංකාවේ උසම දුම්රිය ස්ථානය ද මෙය වේ. මෙය මුහුදු මට්ටමේ සිට 1897m ක් ඉහළින් පිහිටා ඇත. ලොව දුෂ්කරතම දුම්රිය මාර්ග අතරින් 07 වන ස්ථානය හිමි උඩරට දුම්රිය මාර්ගයෙහි පිහිටි පට්ටිපොල දුම්රිය ස්ථානය අඹේවෙල සහ ඔහිය යන දුම්රිය ස්ථාන දෙකට මැදිව පිහිටා තිබේ.

Summit මට්ටමේදී, දුම්රිය මාර්ගය මුහුදු මට්ටමේ සිට අඩි 6,226 (මීටර් 1,898) ක උන්නතාංශයකට ළඟා වේ.

ලොව මිල අධිකම පරෙවි වෙන්දේසිය
ලොව පුරා පරවියන් ඇති කරන පිරිස් සිටිනවා. ඒ අතර ඇමෙරිකානු ඩොලර් මිලියන 1.9ක් ගෙවා පරෙවියකු මිලදී ගැනීමක් පිළිබඳ තොරතුරු වාර්තා වෙනවා. එලෙස ලොව වැඩිම මිලකට අලෙවි වූ එම පරෙවියා පිළිබඳව වාර්තා වන්නේ බෙල්ජියමෙන්.

Last week, Tilli , in collaboration with the Good Market, launched its cutting-edge Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum to Sri Lankan educators under the beautiful Nuga Tree at Good market outdoor event venue.
Tilli, which is a newly-launched global education platform, aims to revolutionize SEL and improve communities in Sri Lanka through it's fun and interactive learning tools.🇱🇰
The event was attended by several well-known educators in the island, and had a lot of positive feedback about the program.👏🏼👏🏼

A candlelight vigil organized by the Free Media Movement was held at Namel Malini Punchi Theatre in Borella, yesterday 25.
This was organised to demand an end to the decisive investigations into the killings and abductions of journalists, and attacks on journalists and media institutions. Prior to the candlelight vigil there was a discussion as well.
President Counsel and President of the Sri Lanka Bar Association Saliya Peiris delivered the key speech before the discussion.
Senior Lawyer Hana Ibrahim, Senior Lawyer Upul Kumarapperuma, and Senior Journalist Nawarathnam Parameshwaran made speeches during the discussion.
Convener of the Free Media Movement Lasantha De Silva moderated the session.
