Back to back endemics coming your way! The Chestnut-Backed Owlet is a small owl endemic to the hilly and wetland rainforests of Sri Lanka.

Fun Fact - This is one of the only owls that are also active during day time, hence you're most likely to come across this species during day time if your on the lookout! Especially on gloomy days!

Scientific Name - Glaucidium castanotum
Location - Sinharaja Rainforest, Sri Lanka ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ‡ฐ

Can there be more colour to this bird? I remember just standing and watching this bird do its thing for a few minutes before I even remembered to take a shot! Just amazed by the colour presentation!

The Crimson Sunbird is a common but spectacular sunbird species found in Singapore and east asia. If you hit a park youโ€™re bound to see one!

The males have such a colorful plumage while the females presents no colour.
