ගල් පඩි පෙළේ වෙහෙස නිවාගෙන
සිරිපා මළුව දෙස බලන විට,
අහස මට ජීවිතය කියා දුන්නා...
එක පැත්තක රන්වන් ඉර බැස යද්දී
සමුගැනීමත් ලස්සන බව පෙනුනා...
අනික් පසින් සඳ වත පායද්දී
තනිකම මැදත් සැනසීම දැනුනා...
නොසිතූ මොහොතක අකුණු රටා මවද්දී
ජීවිතයේ රළු බව සිහි ගැන්වුණා...
එකම අහසක මේ හැම දේම...
මගේ ජීවිතයත් ඒ වගේමයි!
දුක, සතුට, බිය සහ නිසල බව
එකට වෙලුණු අපූරු සිතුවමක්...

මතකයක් විදියට හිතේ ඇඳුණු ඒ රූපය
