It was 5 p.m., and I took my new buddy to capture the sunset over the Makadura paddy fields. Riding in low gear on bicycle and loitering along the main route. I suddenly remembered about a spot named "Gaspaha road" from one of my colleagues. So I turned left down a narrow path. This time, I'm excited since the path I'm riding on is unknown. I discovered some lovely scenery along the route, and intuition told me that you could watch a wonderful sunset in Gaspaha. So I kept riding. No Google map can get me there, but the villagers can. With the help of one brother, I arrived at the destination... woah! The sun is about to completely set in a few minutes. I was sightseeing and found a fantastic spot to photograph the magnificent sunset. But then a large cloud obscured the sun till it set. It was unlucky for me. Okay, don't worry. "You can set the scenery sometime. Today, cherish the new lonely path," I muttered to myself. I turned the bicycle and began riding down the narrow lanes bordered by enormous green paddy fields. It was just me! I was shouting so loudly that only the storks could hear me.
Slowly, I turn onto a gravel road with coconut trees all around. I now see a few familiar folks standing in front of me. Yes, the guardians of the village. They began barking and chasing me. I was screaming, and there was no one to rescue me. After a fast ride, I evaded them and continued riding with a loud laugh, reminiscing these identical events from my childhood. Now the sky has become much darker. Now I started looking for a means to get to the main road, which was 3 km distant. I've got a little ride partner with me now until we reach the main road.
Finally, back to normal life on the familiar roads. It was a fantastic one-hour ride through beautiful fields, little roads, a breeze, a red sky, smiling strangers, storks and dogs. Unfortunately, I was unable to capture the sunset through the lens, but I was able to visually capture some lovely moments that reminded me of the good old days. That moment, I truly believed that life is simple and that small things may make you happy.๐
Waiting for the day to photograph the sunset at Gaspaha.
